Nursing intervention, in the care of patients with eczema coxackium

Abstract

Eczema Coxackium is known as the atypical form of hand, foot and mouth disease, which is known as an exanthematic disease typical of childhood caused by infection with several viruses of the enterovirus family, the most common being coxsackie A16 and enterovirus 71. Objective: To describe the nursing intervention applied during the treatment of a patient with Eczema coxsackium treated at the Hospital Básico Gabriela Alvarado, in april 2022. A case of a female patient under 2 years of age, of rural origin and low socio- economic status who was transferred to the health unit due to a three-day fever and generalized blistering vesicular papules on the hands, feet, and mouth; for the development of this clinical case, Virginia Henderson's Theory was applied as a scientific approach to the branch of nursing care, making use of the five stages of the nursing care plan (PAE), and the taxonomy of nursing care was also used. North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) Code 00444: Integrity of the deteriorated tissue, to subsequently define the interventions contained in the Classification of Nursing Interventions (NIC) according to code 1101 and the results contained in the Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) according to code 3590 Conclusion: nursing interventions and the creation of strategic plans that were implemented for patient care allowed the expected results to be obtained in the patient's recovery.
