Impacto de los sistemas forestales en la economía verde con énfasis en la producción pecuaria de centro américa y el caribe

La investigación se centro en medir el nivel de productividad de la producción de carbono en la biomasa de los países centroamericanos. Para hacer estas mediciones se utilizó el método Tier 1 del IPCC para determinar incremento anual de almacenamiento de carbono en la biomasa, la pérdida de carbono por extracciones de madera, y pérdida de carbono por extracciones de combustible leña y para medir su impacto en la productividad forestal se utilizó el enfoque de análisis de datos envolventes (DEA), estimando los índices de Malmquist. El ritmo de crecimiento interanual de la productividad total de los factores forestal (PTFF) fue de 0.03 % en promedio de todos los países, se nota que El Salvador registro un ritmo de crecimiento de 1 %, Belice 0.04 %, Guatemala y Nicaragua, 0.03 %, en Cambio Costa Rica y Honduras, 0.01 %, mientras que Cuba y Panamá se mostraron indiferente en el ritmo de crecimiento.
