In Colombia, there are diverse gaps between consumer demands and research processes, which hinder the formulation of strategies related to reducing the negative impacts generated by exploitation activities in the agricultural sector. In order to reflect on the way in which the public policies, the development of a management system and, motivation and challenges from actors of the agricultural sector influence the innovation and adoption of technological services, an analysis from secondary sources were applied. This allowed identifying the key issues to advance in their adoption, the points of articulation and gaps between the agricultural, industrial, and decision-making segments in the agricultural sector; information that allows establishing common purposes in favor of innovation and development of value chains.
