Abstract

This article examines the controversy over the validity of the theoretical function of aggregate production. There is a critical analysis of the philosophical foundations of neoclassical theory and the theoretical foundations of the aggregate production function and each of its components. In this work aims to give an account of the implications of the use of the aggregate production function in the research on growth and income distribution.
