Abstract

In order to develop a strategy for information management and knowledge-oriented information needs of the university community in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine that increases the utilization of information resources and knowledge creation, there was a strategic diagnosis. To this end, a survey for students and teachers, where measured aspects such as: the use of electronic mail, Internet use and the use of electronic resources available on the intranet and infoservet. We identified the most used resources by the university community and those most deficient: (use of remote databases, bibliographic managers, virtual labs, and other tools for collaborative work). A strategy specific to their respective actions and criteria of measures to achieve better use of information and knowledge creation. As a result of the implementation of the strategy was raised by students and teachers the use of scientific information resources available on the Intranet UNAH remote databases and RED mo. It extends the network of collaborative work by teachers and researchers as well as widespread use of managers and Reference Templates for creating articles, monographs and theses which have contributed to raising awareness and scientific production.
