Second Socioeconomic diagnose of Cantón San Isidro Los Planes from San Salvador

The following research had as an objective to determine the socioeconomic situation of the population of the communities from Cantón San Isidro Los Planes, San Salvador, El Salvador. The research was a descriptive type and with a transversal design. The unit of the analysis was the family group, with a non probabilistic sample of 89 families. The Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador (UEES) developed projects about the attention to family mothers, family guidance, legal guide, medical and odontology attention, Centro de Desarrollo Integral (CDI) and Centro Escolar (CE). It was found that age group from 15 to 49 years was the predominant (88.8%), had more access to health services (69.7%) and shown the higher studies levels for first and second cycles (32.6% and 23.6% respectively). The most common illnesses in population were the Flu, Cough, Bronchitis and Sinusitis. The average family income was $150 (53.9%). An 80% from habitants has their own house. There is only a 10% of people with drinking water and 91% drink it from rain. For stool disposal most of people use latrines of septic tank (68.5%) and sewers (15,7%). A 29.21% mentioned that UEES had made some very advantage full projects for them such as medical and odontology attentions and support for CDI and CE. According to habitants, health projects were totally full of benefits for them as well as the educative projects as the support for CDI and CE.
