The contribution of education and training for work in the industrialization of Antioquia- Colombia

The Colombian industrial process, immersed in the import substitution industrialization model -ISI-, occurred between 1945 and 1980, caused and encouraged socio-technical changes in the country, especially in high industrialization areas such as the department of Antioquia and the area surrounding its capital - Medellín, Bello, Envigado, Itagüí-.
These changes occurred at the educational, social, economic, urban, cultural and territorial level, among others.
This article aims to establish what was the contribution in the field of education to the industrial process, from the training for work that stimulated sociocultural changes with the opening of new educational centers that trained entrepreneurs, engineers, workers and all the hand of necessary work to assume the challenges of the industrial process at this time.
