Geospatial distribution of public spaces in the city of Tela, Honduras, 2020

Abstract

The territorial balance and classification of the public spaces of the city of Tela are analyzed in the research project "Distribution of Public Spaces in the City of Tela for the Analysis of the Territorial Balance of the Cultural and Recreational Offer of the City, 2020", to know the availability of the sports, cultural and recreational offer of the city and its classification according to the type of administration. To meet the objective, methodologically the tools provided by Geographic Information Systems software have been used to analyze the concentration and dispersion of sports, cultural and recreational infrastructure in relation to the city center and the classification of public spaces according to the type of activity and its nature. Among the main results we will have: a classified inventory of the sports, cultural and
recreational offer of the city of Tela, the generation of cartography of different categories of public space
infrastructure.
