Abstract

The aim of this paper is to propone a list of competencies to be achieved by students undertaking a study on SIG. To do this, after analyzing the various proposals on the issue have been raised, such as University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS), GeoTech Center, Spanish White Papers, etc., will be evaluated and critical discussion of these approaches to generate a own proposal of the most important skills necessary to get in an title to GIS.
