Abstract

The goal of this project is to obtain a present diagnosis of the localization of the primary health services regarding its structure, dynamic, and its correlations in the area called “Zona Metropolitana de Toluca” a proposal of optimal locations of health services infrastructure will be developed regarding the basic elements needed for its establishments.

The main argument of this paper is that the inequality in the health services is determined by the localization, socioeconomics-geographic factors, availability of human and natural resources also the norms and unique characteristic of the personality of the people. The present paper a proposal for the criteria of the elements needed for the optimal area for the establishment of a health service center the elements are as follow: (i) Socioeconomic elements (Population density, gender, age, growth rate, population with insurance, analphabetic population, homes with basic services such as running water and electricity, working population, and road links); (ii) geographic elements (elevation, water masses, land use); (iii) resources and services (Health personal, Health units, demanding population).
