Keywords:
Education, School, Evaluation, Ideology, Politics, PowerAbstract
This article develops the thesis that evaluation of learning is not only technical knowledge and pedagogical practice, but also political practice through which power is wielded. This power is exerted as an undercover function inside the educational system itself, is carried out through the curriculum –official, explicit and hidden–, and made overt in the educational institutions through domination and authority practices of the teacher over the student.
