This paper presents a description of the creation and development process of the first academic program exclusive to the regional campuses of the University of Costa Rica, the Bachelor in Business Informatics program. Furthermore, it poses the challenges faced by the program; specially those related to project and updating development aimed at responding to the requirements to obtain the SINAE accreditation.Abstract
