Abstract

The writing of a section that refers to other research conducted on the same subject under study is one aspect that repeats consistently throughout the process of writing academic texts in any discipline. This article explains and exemplifies the stages and steps that experts suggest for the systematic, empirical, and comprehensive elaboration of literature reviews of high quality by means of the application of a methodology widely accepted in diverse disciplines, namely, the Systematic Literature Review or SLR. In addition, an example of its application in the Arts and Sciences field is provided.
