Abstract

This essay describes what is commonly understood by adolescence, as well as its origin as a phase of human development and its main characteristics. Besides, it alludes to two classical versions that have prevailed on adolescence. Finally it approaches some challenges posed by resilience when creating scenarios in order to facilitate his/her human development in a dignified way. In general, this essay looks for calling the attention about this phase of human development, so evil and stigmatized by many, and imprint from a socio-historical perspective, a more realistic view, as well as companionship with a resilient approach.
