To speak of the humanization of education implies making an obligatory reference to Paulo Freire, the Brazilian pedagogue who has had the clarity to recognize that, despite his personal capacity, man is not only in the world, but is an eminently relational being. Freire's work is an attempt at a practical and culturally situated response that seeks to make human beings recognize their own dignity, and the strength that it contains once it is discovered.
