Abstract

La experiencia de los países desarrollados de vieja y nueva data muestra que la industrialización es una opción inevitable para los países en desarrollo que quieran mejorar sus niveles de competitividad en un mercado cada vez más globalizado. El principal obstáculo que impide, a países como Nicaragua, avanzar en esta dirección, reside en su débil estructura económica y, más precisamente, en el poco peso que tiene el sector industrial en la estructura económica nacional.
