Abstract

The incubation of companies in Honduras, as a strategy for strengthening entrepreneurs from Public Universities, represents an almost unknown topic. However, the Center's Regional University (CURC – UNAH), has established in its framework of action activities related to business entrepreneurship, as a projection in the area of ​​university-society linkage.

The research carried out includes the integral institutional evaluation of the CURC-UNAH, identifying the philosophy, regulations, entrepreneurial culture, institutional capacities, as well as the necessary policy to achieve business strengthening, innovation and development through the implementation of the business incubator.

The information obtained reveals that the institution has a series of human and technological resources, curricular programs, policies and strategies to implement the business incubator. To achieve sustainability, it is necessary to have financing, assigning a monetary value in the annual budget and maintain strategic alliances with key partners of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the region.
