Abstract

The present work tries to evaluate the labour conditions of the graduates of university technical careers in Tela, Atlántida, Honduras and the relationship between labour conditions, the objective poverty and the subjective poverty. This research has a mixed approach because quantitative and qualitative data analysis are carried out; the work is exploratory. On the other hand, the SPSS statistical package is used to calculate correlation coefficients between variables; the data was obtained by applying a structured survey through the Google Docs platform. The study concludes that technical university careers in Tela have contributed to improving the access to the labour market for graduates but, it does not influence the improvement of the quality of said jobs; on the other hand, subjective poverty shows lower levels compared to objective poverty; The fact of having a job influences the perception of poverty in graduates of technical university careers in Tela.
