Abstract

Over the year, international cooperation has been characterized by a dichotomy between refundable and non-refundable flows from donors and the realities of recipient countries.

The purpose of this research is to examine whether public policies including aid for trade in Honduras, as well as to analyze whether the country’s trade needs and limitations are included in development plans. The following work is undertaken within the framework of the Aid for Trade Initiative of the World Trade Organization which seeks to create trade capacity in developing countries.

As a result of the findings, the article concludes the public policies in Honduras, including AFT, are related to the categories of Economics Infrastructure and Productive Capacity, and not to the needs and limitations of Trade Policy, Regulations, and Adjustment.
