Abstract

There are multiple problems caused frictions in the labor market, among the latter are the mismatch between the skill level of a particular professional and qualification level required by an employer, and the lack of capacity of the production structure to absorb fully the professionals graduated from middle and upper level, added to this the precariousness of programs that encourage investment as a source of employment of professionals. The low participation of professionals in the total workforce of Honduras with leads to the question is it that human capital is little productive in the main economic activities of the country? The study of determinants of employability in the labor market performs an analysis of supply and demand in the labor market in order to know which are the main factors affecting recruitment or are not a professional. By analyzing the context of Honduran labor market is perceived to promote sustainable employability one proper coordination between the supply of graduates and labor market demand in order to ensure the exploitation of the resources of the country is necessary.
