Abstract

The relationship between population and development is a conceptual category that is based on empirical and statistical data. The demographic situation in Honduras is described by the behavior of its population growth, structure and composition of the population, patterns of fertility and combined mortality with other important socio-economic variables that impact on the development process is described in detail in this article emphasis on poverty and employment.

The demographic behavior of the population is heavily influence by factors - social, economic, educational, cultural exerting constant pressure on the phenomena of population dynamics and evolution. Population levels have features on social issues and vice versa, indicating that the population is very closely linked with development. The interaction of these processes define the demographic trend, which could / should be intercepted and modified to enhance the quality of life of the population. Hence, if there is an intrinsic relationship between population and development, as an inseparable pair.
