Abstract

Considering commercial operations globalization, world-class companies anchored in developing countries require the inclusion of new theories and practices that allow them, through diagnostic techniques, to identify systems flaws to increase their local and regional competitiveness. In this meaning, it is proposed as a first instance, a qualitative study, with a non-probabilistic sample of case type, achieving a phenomenon understanding, to propose future quantitative research on this sector. The companies analyzed are called world-class production of consumer products, with local and regional presence. Within main results, it is emphasized that both theories show an incidence at the macro level in the competitiveness of the organizations (Laws, regulations and distribution). Another aspect is the need of real-time knowledge about operations, to make necessary correctives derived from the results of Restriction Theory and Systemic Approach (Business Intelligence Application (BI)).
