There is a latent risk of gravitational processes commonly called landslides in various areas of the Mexican Republic, accelerated by the presence of rain and seismic movements, increasing the vulnerability of populations living in areas unsuitable for urbanization, due to geomorphological irregularity. As an example, we documented what happened in the La Aurora neighborhood, State of Puebla, where more than 100 people died as a result of a landslide triggered by extraordinary rain. The intention of this article is to generate a novel and precise methodology that can be used in any part of the world that has similar characteristics to the study area, in order to avoid urban/rural affectations in the face of future geomorphological events. Therefore, a model was generated using data on slope ranges, marginalization, land use, degradation and precipitation; categorizing them into levels Very Low 1, Low 2, Medium 3, High 4 and Very High 5, for subsequent analysis based on the cross-referenced information; with the objective of generating social risk management and to replicate this model in other parts of Latin America and the world.
