This article is part of the result of the master's thesis, its starting point is to recognize, by means of a diagnosis, the insufficiencies that exist in the professionalization of the teaching-learning process of the Physics I subject for the first-year students of the Mechanical Engineering career at the University of Granma, Cuba, which has unfavorable repercussions on the learning of contents that are transcendent for the mastery of the technical sciences of that career. In order to solve the problem, a methodology with a professional approach was elaborated and implemented, which showed a high relevance and feasibility. The logic followed in the research to achieve the proposed objective and solve the problem determined the use of a diversity of scientific research methods, both theoretical, empirical and mathematical-statistical. The way in which the proposed methodology has been projected, contributes to the transformation of the teacher in his performance, by providing him with methodological knowledge for the activation of his learning.
