Abstract

This work has the objective of characterizing the approach to the area of Physical Education in virtuality in elementary and middle schools in the territory of the South American Division of the Adventist educational system in the year 2020. It is a work of quantitative approach, descriptive research and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 163 Physical Education teachers at the elementary and middle school levels in Adventist schools in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. The results highlight the disciplinary adherence of teachers, the use of technological platforms as support for virtual attention and social networks, follow-up of actions, tasks and assignments to students. There is an evaluation process that has become more complex given the virtuality and the conditions of the students, and a good participation in the classes. It is necessary to strengthen the continuous training of teachers and support in the field of teaching methodologies in Physical Education.
