Repository for a responsible sexual behavior in adolescents of the schools of sports initiation in Cuba

Abstract

The following article aimed to elaborate a repository of audiovisual resources that favor responsible sexual behavior in 7th grade students of the Escuela de Iniciación Deportiva (EIDE) of Holguín province, Cuba. The study is qualitative, descriptive and cross-sectional, and included interviews to 29 students (17 males and 12 females), selected intentionally. The results revealed that 100 % of the students expressed lack of orientation on the subject of sexuality and that few audiovisual resources are used to motivate responsible sexual behavior. A repository of audiovisual resources with didactic cards was designed and a procedure was proposed to apply it based on steps and actions to encourage responsible sexuality in students. The relevance of the repository for the educational orientation of a healthy, responsible and safe sexuality was verified from the interviews conducted with the specialists.
