Abstract

This study describes the experience in the implementation of the virtual learning environment in the subject “Histotechnology III” of the Department of Morphological and Forensic Sciences of the Faculty of Health Sciences-University of Carabobo, for strengthen the teaching-learning-research process of students in Histotechnology career. Through a descriptive level and a sequential explanatory design, it was obtained that the use of virtual learning environments allows to develop technological and research skills when complemented by face-to-face activities, highlighting the relevant resource design that motivates students and promotes self-management of knowledge, meaningful and collaborative learning. Virtual environments should open the way to comprehensive training, supporting face-to-face teaching for the benefit of learning from morphological sciences and in particular histotechnology.
