Abstract

The objective of the present work consists in the reconstruction of the historical memory about the event that occurred in the “Rubén Darío” University Campus at the hands of the bloody National Guard in 1978. The procedure used for the construction of this memory was obtained through various documentary, oral and audiovisual sources that contributed to creating a coherent account of the situation under study. The results invite us not to let historical memory die, and even more so, that of a generation of young people who marked the history of a nation in the face of a repressive dictatorship.
