Abstract

The teaching practice must be subject to transformations, which claim the leading role of the student in the teaching and learning process. Because it is a social activity, it must recognize the experiences and prior knowledge of the learners. Likewise, guide their efforts to discover and enhance their skills and competencies. Therefore, it is essential that teachers design their content and teaching strategies with learners and society in mind, as this is the scenario where the ideas and efforts of every educational system materialize. The new psychological theories of learning have made it possible to recognize students as dynamic, emotional beings, and with particular characteristics regarding the assimilation of learning.
