Abstract

In this article, the Boys' Insurrection of August 28, 1978 and the AES High School Student Movement, as a result of a continuous and permanent action by high school students who since July 1976, in demanding mobilizations initially and later in social protests, sympathizers of the movement that vanguards the struggle and revolution the Sandinista Front for National Liberation, product to the national situation and specifically to the murder of a student Alberto Chavarria, detonates an insurrection, the first in the north of the country and the first led by young high school students organized in the AES High School Students Association, which reduces the headquarters of its barracks to military detachment of the Somoza National Guard during 5 days of armed confrontation. In this period of time the control of the city is maintained, small groups scattered throughout the neighborhoods, constant mobility, without a fixed line of confrontation, using the city and its knowledge to evade, attack and ambush GN patrols. It is possible to leave the city, in an orderly disorder, since it deceived the GN, and allowed the exit by different routes without these being discovered.
