This study, conducted at the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua in Managua, explores the need for Social Sciences educators equipped to address challenges such as economic inequality and vulnerability to various threats. During the second semester of 2022, fourth-year students participated in a pedagogical experience centered on social and socio-environmental planning, employing participatory methodologies and critical analysis. Using qualitative research methods, the study examined students experiences, emphasizing the importance of meaningful learning and the integration of practical skills with theoretical knowledge. The findings underscore the value of a studentcentered pedagogical approach, institutional support, and ongoing teacher development.
Furthermore, the study highlights the necessity for adaptive educational management that fosters sustainable development and social cohesion.
