Abstract

Nowadays assigning nicknames to primary students is a situation that is occurring in Nicaraguan’s schools with the same frequency as the low academic performance, absenteeism, interpersonal relationships problems among peers and teachers and family. These Nicknames practices besides being frequent, are a subject felt by the community, however there is a literature gap, because most of the studies address sociolinguistic and morph’s-syntactical issues this research analyzes the psychological effects that Nicknames have in school students at Republica de Argentina School, and it aims to address a novel and relevant topic to population. Because of that this research has a unique value when focus both student`s emotional experiences and different effects that occur in students personality when they are over named.
