Abstract

The present article, it has like main target, to do an evaluation of the influence that exercises the Culture of peace, in the Resolution of Territorial Conflicts from the Geography education. Also to tackle from a theoretical - conceptual approach the conflict resolution, especially those of territorial type, recognizing not only the causes that have generated them; but also the process evolutionary that the above mentioned conflicts have had. For the analysis of this work, there was used the bibliographical documentary investigation, like methodological base, for the comprehension of the speech of the culture of peace like an alternative in the resolution of territorial conflicts. Coming to the conclusion that, the theoretical approach - conceptual of the terms of Peace, Culture of peace, Conflict and Resolution of Conflicts, they redeem a fundamental role in the creation of the conditions for the appropriation of the paradigm of “CULTURE OF PEACE“, so urgently and necessarily for our modern societies; likewise, the recognition of the causes that have generated the conflicts, especially those of territorial type, which are important to look for alternatives that solve these types of conflicts. Therefore, the geography education redeems a role excellent in the formation of values, on having promoted the territorial identity and the civil formation by means of the characterization of the territories, the discussion on the influence that the territories exercise in the distribution of the human beings and its multiple activities; the development of the reflective and critical thought; by means of an educational work under the beginning of justice, equity, ideal tolerance of a society jousts.

Directora del Departamento de Geografía, pertenece al Consejo Editorial de la revista Humanismo y Cambio Social de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias Jurídicas UNAN-Managua. Ha participado en congresos nacionales e internacionales de geografía.
