Abstract

This paper analyzes the experiences and reflections of two preschool teachers, Ángela María Herrera Rivera (Angelita) y Francisca Celia Olivas Olivas (Celia), regarding the first preschool centers of their communities. The theoretical framework is based on concepts derived from social interaccionism. The method consisted of oral history. The results showed teachers memories regarding their educational work during the 1980s and their contributions to the development of non-formal preschool education during a period of social change in Nicaragua.
