Abstract

In recent years, Latin American and Caribbean regional studies have provided a great contribution in the sense of approaching historical regions from a trans disciplinary perspective. Success that is based on the concept of “totality”, understood as the integral vision of historical processes that occurred within a region in a concrete way. This article takes up the regional and local studies applied in Nicaragua, and briefly explains the methodological exercise that has been developing for the analysis of data generated from various disciplines with the purpose of making an interpretation of the social dynamics of the Sébaco Valley. The application of some theoretical-methodological approaches is shared from the regional studies that will allow the creation of new knowledge about this social dynamic in an integrative way.
