The purpose of this paper is to share a possible reading key to be able to effectively read Locke’s text, Second Treatise on Civil Government. We believe that the primary intention of the text is to present the model of society in which the rights that this English thinker conceives as the fundamental rights of human beings to knowledge, freedom, equality and private property, can be protected.
