Abstract

This paper aims to raise awareness in the Salvadoran people the enormous effort that historically had to do to design the ideal homeland in the context of conflicting interests: some in favor of the Crown, others to benefit directly from the "independence" and most to throw off the yoke imposed by Spain, looking for their own cultural identity.

It is also important to know the major limitations that existed at that time to drive the whole country to a promising future and why it was important to achieve freedom.
