Abstract

This article discusses curatorial practices used in the exhibition of “ordinary objects”, referring to all those artefacts that are used by people in their everyday lives, which now constitute museographer samples. Art museums are beginning to collect contemporary objects relevant to a variety of context, such as, social, political or economic.

This article present ideas about experience involved in this type of exhibitions, based on a visit made by the author to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, which nowadays is developing a collection of ordinary objects.
