Abstract

On Thursday, the 15th of this month at the University Museum of Anthropology, MUA of this house was studied, the temporary exhibition entitled "Max Vollmberg, impressions of a trip" was inaugurated. I share a summary of the Presentation that I made on that occasion.

"It is one of the exhibitions where naturalism, realism and impressionism combine to present the reality of the Salvadoran countryside.

This is the work of Max Vollmberg, the painter of German origin who came to our lands to recreate with talent and much professionalism, the Salvadoran reality, and its natural and human landscape, that is to say; a good part of the identity that characterized the people of this part of the world. And I say characterized by the fact that identity is an indissoluble element of culture and culture is transformed, so, what is today, in ten or fifteen years has, or shows, another connotation.
