Abstract

Tegucigalpa, the capital of the Republic of Honduras, has been the focus over the past two de-cades, of migration from the countryside to the city, searched by those who look for better living conditions; this plus deforestation and pollution, have caused water sources that supply the capital city to decrease, with the effect on the population, in terms of limiting the water, so it is necessary to have the legal regulation to protect these water sources, although there are some administrative decisions to protect river basins, it becomes ne-cessary to issue mandatory rules and take direct action to protect, even coercively these water sources, specifically for Tegucigalpa.
