The congenital absence of at least one tooth is a dental anomaly which can occur during the initial stages of dental formation. Dental agenesis can be classified as hypodontia when the agenesis of one to six teeth is described, without taking third molars in consideration, the prevalence of this anomaly varies depending on demography and geographic profile, ranging from 0.03 to 10% and affecting more women than men, according to what is indicated in the studies, it may be the cause of a genetic alteration which produces the absence of permanent teeth. The treatment of dental agenesis requires a multidisciplinary dental approach and, based on exhaustive studies of the case, determine a complete treatment plan. Nowadays, great development has been observed in composite resins, offering an opportunity to reproduce natural teeth with great fidelity. Direct veneer treatment is a very conservative technique where the composite resin is applied without reducing the tooth. This is a clinical case report that aims to present the clinical approach through the preparation of direct veneers with composite resin in a patient with dental agenesis of the lower permanent central incisors, where the patient still has his primary lower central incisors without root resorption. The treatment is indicated to achieve better aesthetics and function.
