Abstract

A duplicated collecting system is the most common anatomical variation in the upper urinary tract in childhood. It is mostly asymptomatic, and when symptoms are present, they are secondary to involvement of the ureteropelvic junction or the ureterovesical junction. Ureterocele is an uncommon cause of ureterovesical junction obstruction.
