Abstract

Osteoporosis is a condition that becomes more important every day, because age is one of its determinants, mainly because the bones become weak and brittle, it tends to occur more frequently in women. However, it is not an exclusive pathology of the female sex or of the elderly, since it can also occur in young people and in men. Due to the magnitude of this pathology and in order to raise awareness among the population about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of this disease, since 1996, every October 20, the world day of osteoporosis is celebrated.
