This article was based on the study: Oral history of cultural traditions: agony, death and mourning in the Afro-descendant people of Puerto Cabezas, with emphasis on a series of rites, associated with stages or milestones, that the Afro-descendant people perform in a particular way as a collective mechanism of spirituality, accompaniment, solidarity and community, for the mourning management. In addition to sharing their knowings and practices; they also expressed their deep feelings about some cultural practices in the new generations, as well as the possibility of revitalizing them.Abstract
