Abstract

This research presents the process of the Campesino Indigenous Movement of the Cotopaxi (MICC) in the organization of the first indigenous channel in Ecuador: TVMICC-47 in the years 2008-2010. With this purpose, the social processes, the administrative and programmatic management developed by their former direc- tors were compiled, evidencing the outstanding participation of women. The study is guided by the symbolic experiential method incorporated in CCRISAC, whose main moments were: Vivienciado and Experienciando (field work); Recovering and Reencantando, (systematization and reflection); Signifying and Resignifying, (detailed systematization) e; Involving and Committing, (program proposal). The study con- cludes that the participation of the Campesino Indigenous Movement of Cotopaxi, in the struggles forged by the CONAIE (Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador) from 1990, by demands around the possession of the land, the existence of an educational model intercultural bilingual, and a Plurinational State, recognized in the 1998 Constitution. However, Ecuador continues to hope that these rights become effective in the facts.
