Currently, digital technologies have been included in education as tools to improve the teaching-learning process. The purpose of this study was to analyze how multimedia audiovisual resources, in conjunction with reflective learning, positively influence student learning. This is a prospective, cross-sectional study with a sample of 18 students with low academic performance out of a total of 60 second-year students taking the Oral Histoembryology course. A prior assessment of learning needs was conducted before applying the audiovisual material and a cognitive test, where 38% of the students passed. After applying the strategy using audiovisual material and the reflective method, an 88% pass rate was obtained. It was concluded that the use of digital resources and the reflective method are very useful in understanding complex topics.
