Abstract

After “the death of God”, announced by Nietzsche, the Western philosophy turned into the acceptation of the finitude of the human existence. The Nietzschean “Superman”, who takes life as a continuous surprise, is the new turn of philosophy. This new turn, which was taken at the end of 19th century, brings important ethical implications, which are reviewed in this essay.
