Abstract

In the beginning of the 20’s, György Lukács proposed an original and problematic synthesis of Neokantianism and Marxism, maintaining that the constitution of both objectivity and subjectivity was determined in capitalist societies by the ‘form merchandise’. So, Lukács could maintain that capitalist development creates a whole series of reification processes: the ‘merchandise form’ configures itself as a model of every single form of objectivity and subjectivity. The post-modern social experience would be a radicalization of such reification processes.
