Abstract

The present research advance investigates the complex relationships between democracy, power, subject and subjectivity in unequal and dependent urban societies. We propose to think about the complex question around how social subjectivities related to domination, the desire for inequality and the forms of enjoyment based on self-destruction, the destruction of others and nature are born and are possible. In order to do this, we will inquire about the ways in which Western rationality has built a certain father figure as an archaic complex to sustain domination processes that still underlie formal capitalist democracies.
