Abstract

There is an intense discussion if whether we must talk about a Latin American bioethics or about bioethics in Latin America. This is an issue we must reflect about, acknowledging the need for a further analyses and debate towards a definition of its characteristics and its epistemological fundaments. Several bioethicists in the region and other places have made contributions to characterize a Latin American bioethical discipline.
